For many months, I've told myself that I have no business writing a blog, but for some reason, that notion just won't get through this hard, candy-coated skull of mine! I suppose when you have so many things you're passionate about, you can't keep it bottled up inside... and what's better than sharing your passion with the world? I figure, it's a new year... so let's get this show on the road now (No, I do not believe in making resolutions for the new year- nobody keeps them- rather, finally making the time to do something I've desired to do for a while)! As a warning, I may not be the most incredible writer, but no worries, I'll keep most posts simple (But I AM a woman, so of course, I will digress every once in a while-- embrace it! haha) and always offer something new! A little about me... I'm an actress and photographer, mostly, but in 2011, I begun dabbling in directing and filmmaking. I figure, if I love being behind the camera, snapping photographs, and I know what it's like to be live in front of the camera, I might as well marry those qualities together! I'm still perfecting that art form, and I love the learning process. On top of all of that, I LOVE music. No, really, it's a complete obsession. If you check back regularly, you're sure to get plenty of updates on Atlanta's local music scene, as well as a few bigger-named folks who come to town, along with my random commentary and gushing over moving lyrics and exciting new voices. I'd been bitten by the travel bug many years ago and the few places I've visited have opened my world up to new cultures, languages, and lifestyles, giving me a deeper appreciation for the world we live in. Expect to hear some stories and see some photos from all of that. I honestly get excited about nearly every art form, so look for reviews on galleries, film screenings, poetry, etc as well. This should be interesting...
